Periodontal disease is the lesion of the surrounding dental tissues including alveolar bone and gum. In other words, periodontal disease is the loss of dental foundation. Periodontal disease has a bad influence on tissue surrounding the teeth, including the gums, periodontal ligament and alveolar bone. Common chronic periodontal disease can generally be divided into gingivitis and periodontitis which have different clinical symptoms.Gingivitis and periodontitis are known as periodontal disease. 
    The main symptoms of gingivitis are confined to the gum tissue. Gum redness, swelling, pain and bleeding because of brushing are common symptoms.
    In addition to the above symptoms, periodontitis has a further violations of the periodontal ligament and alveolar bone beneath the gums. Once the periodontal ligament and alveolar bone are damaged,the teeth  begin to loosen, leading to weak bite force. Peeling generated between the gums and teeth, forms a  capsular bag.Food residue can easily fall into the capsular bag which provide a room to breed bacteria.
Symptoms of periodontal disease
    Periodontal disease is a kind of chronic disease. Its general clinical symptoms are not obvious. Unless obvious sore resulting from acute inflammation  it is not easy to be diagnosed.
    Alert of Periodontal disease :
    1, gum swelling, pain;
    2, bleeding because of brushing teeth;
    3, loose teeth, shifting teeth , automatically fall off;
    4, bad breath;
    5, inability to chew;
    6, teeth cracks.
